Scarlet grace. I like that. And fear it, in the original meaning of fear.

You can hang out with Vivian any time: two poets!

Thanks. It’s my little girl’s name. I’ve had that part of the poem in my heart for two years; today the rest came out. 🙂

I like this poem. That is all.

    This was so well written.

I stumbled across this post on Twitter. I was following you, or following you back, or whatever, without giving it much thought.

Now? I’ll keep tabs on purpose.

Well thanks! But please visit the Be Warned page, just in case. 😉

Oh, no worries about that. You had me at “streams of scarlet grace.” I’m on His team, too. But thanks for the disclaimer. 🙂

I’m not usually a fan of free form poetry, but I’ve just had my mind blown by the simplicity and power of this one. Some seriously rich imagery there.

    I’ll say it again.

    Mind. Blown.

      Well then I’m honored. Thanks.

The great thing (or not so great, depending on the context) is that stains don’t come out. Oil that marks your favourite dress for years and every time you remember the occasion… like this soil stained with scarlet grace – the blood of Christ – and every time we remember. We must remember.
